Objectives
LA MAISON BALDWIN offers events such as performances, conferences, writing workshops and literary gatherings, the different formulas of which are presented on its website at the following address: www.lamaisonbaldwin.org.
Event content, locations, dates, times and prices are presented on the website.
The purchase of an event implies the customer's unreserved acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale in force on the day of registration for the course, as they appear on the LA MAISON BALDWIN website.
The customer guarantees to have the legal capacity to validly contract the services offered by LA MAISON BALDWIN.
Registration
Registration for events is made via the LA MAISON BALDWIN website with payment by credit card, subject to availability.
Registration can be made as long as the event is open for booking on the LA MAISON BALDWIN website.
Registration becomes final upon receipt of a confirmation e-mail from LA MAISON BALDWIN.
LA MAISON BALDWIN reserves the right to cancel the reservation if the customer's identity or e-mail address are inaccurate.
Prices and terms of payment
The price of the event is that which appears on the website of LA MAISON BALDWIN on the day of the reservation.
All prices are in euros and include VAT.
Payment of the event price is due upon online registration. In application of the French law of August 4, 2008, any sum unpaid 30 days after the event shall give rise, without prior formal notice, to the payment of late payment penalties at the rate of three times the current legal rate.
Payment can be made by credit card on the LA MAISON BALDWIN website.
Credit cards issued by banks domiciled outside France must be international credit cards.
Events purchased through the website of LA MAISON BALDWIN are not transferable or refundable.
Cancellation and no right of withdrawal
The events organized by LA MAISON BALDWIN constitute a provision of services provided at a date or according to a periodicity determined by application of the provisions of article L 121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code.
Consequently, the customer is informed that he does not benefit from the right of withdrawal provided by the provisions of Article L 121-19 of the Consumer Code.
Payment for events is final. In the event of absence, the price of the event remains due. No refund will be made.
LA MAISON BALDWIN reserves the right to cancel an event in case of force majeure and such cancellation will not engage its responsibility.
In this case, LA MAISON BALDWIN will reimburse each participant within 5 days.
Responsibility
LA MAISON BALDWIN will not be held responsible for any damage caused to the client's person or property during the events.
LA MAISON BALDWIN cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of objects and personal effects brought by the customer.
Jurisdiction - dispute resolution
Unless otherwise provided by mandatory law, any dispute, not resolved through an amicable procedure, is submitted to the competent court within the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal of Paris to which jurisdiction is given, even in the case of summary proceedings, a warranty claim or multiple defendants.
LA MAISON BALDWIN wishes to inform customers that, as part of the amicable procedures to which any difficulty must be submitted before referral to the competent courts, it may by mutual agreement in particular implement the means permitted by Directive 2013/11/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of May 21, 2013 on the out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes as well as those arising from Regulation (EU) No. 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of May 21, 2013 on the online settlement of consumer disputes.

These terms and conditions are effective from May 24, 2024. LA MAISON BALDWIN reserves the right to modify certain elements of these terms and conditions during the year.
